(ANSA) – MOSCOW, 01 OCT – The daily death toll from Covid-19 in Russia reaches a new record, with 887 victims. The federal crisis center reports it. The various Russian regions are returning to impose restrictions: they are introducing QR codes, the Russian version of the green pass, closing educational institutions and maternity clinics. Izvestia reports it. In the Vladimir region, the number of cases in a week increased by 20%, in Bashkortostan by 15%.
In the Voronezh region, the number of “severe” patients requiring oxygen support has grown by nearly 40% and only 16% of free beds for coronavirus patients remain in Khakassia hospitals. In Moscow, from October 1, all patients with symptoms of respiratory diseases will undergo rapid tests for coronavirus. Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin described the situation as “tense” and the number of people vaccinated as “insufficient”. Meanwhile, the head of the citizen health authority (Rospotrebnadzor) Anna Popova noted that some regions “do not meet” the standard for testing for coronavirus. (HANDLE).
