Martina Luoni died at the age of 27, defeated by cancer. The girl, originally from Solaro and resident in Caronno Pertusella, was in November 2020 testimonial of “Covid Dilemma”, the awareness campaign launched by the Lombardy Region to counter the spread of Coronavirus after posting a video complaint on her Instagram account on the situation of hospitals in Lombardy.

«I would like to be able to give a voice to those who, like me, find themselves fighting for their lives every day and cannot afford to be postponed, because the health system is collapsing and surgical activities cannot be suspended! – Martina said in her video appeal -. When you say that this is an influence and “I’m so young” you must instead think of your sister, your mother, your grandfather. Your families may need medical attention, even not for Covid. But, guys, the cures are taken away from us. The rules must be respected: distance, masks. Because hospitals – and I tour many of them – are collapsing. We cannot shut down healthcare for Covid ».

The funeral will take place in Solaro on Thursday 16 September at 11.15 in the parish church of Santi Quirico and Giulitta.
