SACILE. An IT error, a lack of coordination between institutions, a fact that jumps into an online register: it could be called in many ways the hitch that until Saturday 24 July kept a couple from Sacile in bureaucratic limbo and which for many days prevented the issue of the related Green Passes. The spouses had to “fight” for more than a week before obtaining the pass.
The two were infected last winter, but have followed all the procedures of quarantine, treatment and subsequent diagnosis of successful recovery. Within the following six months they were subjected to the first dose of vaccine, sufficient for the issuance of clearance for those affected by the disease. This is where the nightmare began.
For the Region, the couple was in fact up to date with the procedure, but for the Ministry of Health, no. So no Green pass, with obvious difficulties in moving for work before and for the upcoming holidays.
A series of phone calls to regional and national call centers had no effect for several days. The only certainty was an email from the health company that acknowledged the existence of an IT system error.
Practically the online file relating to the Covid infection had never been formally archived by the operator. The central brain therefore constantly detected this position as “open”.
The attending physician of the two boys even tried to manually enter the correct data into the system, but nothing happened. Obviously, the alternative solution of subjecting the spouses to an additional dose of vaccine was not feasible.
Between moments of despair and a sense of constant rebound, a government email was also registered asking the two people from Sacile to “indicate the code connected to the Green pass” in order to proceed with the processing of the request for clarification.
Only in the early afternoon of Saturday did the situation suddenly unblock. In fact, it seems that in Italy there are hundreds of citizens without authorization due to the lack of communication between local servers and the ministry, so much so that checks are underway in view of the recent increase in vaccine bookings. –
