Rome – Late yesterday evening, the Carabinieri of the Compagnia di Roma EUR, with the support of the Carabinieri of the Rome Group, the Carabinieri Forestale Group, as well as the specialized departments of the NAS and the NIL of Rome, carried out a extraordinary service aimed at controlling the territory and verifying compliance with the legislation for the containment of Covid-19 and the so-called “bad movida” in the San Paolo district. During the aforementioned service, various commercial activities were controlled, of which 7 were sanctioned for a total amount of approximately 27 thousand and 569 euros.

The Carabinieri of the territorial line together with those of the specialized departments of the Arma found several irregularities in commercial activities, including: a bar was sanctioned for failure to prepare the haccp self-control procedures; a fruit and vegetable shop sanctioned for failure to prepare haccp self-control procedures and for the use of take-away bags that do not comply with current legislation; a food shop sanctioned for the same omissions found in the previous shop; a restaurant sanctioned for the presence of about 20 kilos of untraceable foodstuffs that were seized waiting to be destroyed; a restaurant sanctioned for having employed non-compliant staff and found that the restaurant had not prepared all the necessary measures aimed at containing covid-19, such as the lack of thermo-scanners and information signs; a pub sanctioned for not having prepared all the necessary measures aimed at containing covid-19; a grocery shop always sanctioned for failure to prepare the necessary measures aimed at containing covid-19.

During the Carabinieri checks, two people were caught consuming alcoholic beverages in glass containers and were sanctioned for a total amount of 800 euros.

Finally, a 59-year-old citizen of Peru was found following an inspection irregular on the national territory being without a residence permit.

The various checkpoints carried out during the service allowed for control over 200 people and a hundred vehicles, one of which was sanctioned for lack of insurance coverage.

For the record, and to protect those under investigation, we remind you that an accusation is not equivalent to a conviction, that the evidence is formed in the Court and that the Italian judicial system still provides for three degrees of judgment.
