Covid: Delta variant alarm in Californa, + 17% infections – Last Hour

(ANSA) – ROME, 02 JUL – California canceled the restrictions due to the Covid pandemic just two weeks ago, and since then the Delta variant infection is rapidly spreading among the unvaccinated.

The most populous state in the US has an average of about 1,000 new cases of contagion per day, with an increase of about 17% in the last 14 days. In Los Angeles in recent days it was recommended to resume wearing masks indoors.

At the moment just under 50% of Californians are fully vaccinated, while 61% have received only one dose. (HANDLE).
