Florence, 1 July 2021 – Covid in Tuscany I’m 53 new cases of Coronavirus out of 6,452 molecular swabs and 6,865 rapid antigenic swabs, two died and 117 recovered. It was reported on daily bulletin transmitted by the Region to the National Civil Protection. Yesterday, June 30, the new positives al Covid identified in Tuscany were 37; the positive rate is 0.29%, which rises to 0.8% if we consider the “net” one, ie calculated only on the first diagnoses excluding the control swabs (4,813 subjects tested today). Numbers in line with those of the last few days and which bode well, even if the spread of the Delta variant throughout Italy and inevitably also in Tuscany does not allow us to let our guard down. On the front of vaccinations, on the other hand, the anti-Covid doses administered up to now in Tuscany are 3,071,516.
Today 6,452 molecular swabs and 6,865 rapid antigenic swabs were performed, of which 0.4% were positive. On the other hand, 4,734 subjects were tested today (with antigenic and / or molecular buffer, excluding the control swabs), of which 1.1% tested positive. The current positives are today 1,744, -3.6% compared to yesterday.
Hospitalization and intensive care
There are 109 hospitalized (5 fewer than yesterday), of which 23 in intensive care (1 fewer). Today there are 2 new deaths: a man and a woman with an average age of 69.

The average age of the 53 new positives today is approximately 36 years (25% are under 20, 28% between 20 and 39, 43% between 40 and 59, 2% between 60 and 79, 2% have 80 years or older).

There are 67,473 total cases to date in Florence (12 more than yesterday), 22,601 in Prato (3 more), 23,026 in Pistoia (4 more), 13,319 in Massa (1 more), 24,675 in Lucca (3 more), 29,240 in Pisa (5 more), 17,509 in Livorno (4 more), 22,879 in Arezzo (6 more), 13,885 in Siena (8 more), 9,165 in Grosseto (7 more). 555 positive cases were reported in Tuscany, but residing in other regions. There are 19 cases found today in the Central Local Health Authority, 13 in the North West, 21 in the South East.
