D’Amato: “Half of the necessary vaccines arrive. J&J doses are enough for 2 days”

“The machine does not stop, but to reach the goal indicated by Prime Minister Draghi, 15 million doses are needed in Italy per month and one and a half million in Lazio. Half of them arrive. When these doses arrive we can say that the goal is attainable and it seems to me that there is still some distance ”. This was stated by the councilor for health of Lazio Alessio D’Amato today on a visit to the vaccination hub of the Nuvola all’Eur. “The more doses arrive – he added – the sooner we get to herd immunity. We are ready to do 60 thousand a day, but I don’t think there is this possibility in April, at least from the things I have heard ”.

As for the Johnson & Johnson vaccines, “surely” the doses announced by the pharmaceutical giant “are not enough – affirms D’Amato – it would mean going on for a couple of days and it’s not really possible. So the doses must arrive ”.
