The president of the Liguria Region Giovanni Toti, through his Facebook page, he published a letter sent on May 12, 2021 by the CTS to the Regions, in order to justify the voluntary administration of the AstraZeneca vaccine to the 18-year-old who died of thrombosis: “The Cts does not detect any reasons that prevent them from being organized by different regional initiatives, such as vaccination days, aimed at offering adenoviral vector vaccines to all subjects over the age of 18 following voluntary participation / request “.
Regions that cancel or modify open days
By virtue of the delicacy of the situation, many Regions that boasted a busy schedule of upcoming open days have decided to take a step back and proceed to cancel or modify the drug administered.
Valle d’Aosta: in consideration of the availability of Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and pending further indications and / or provisions relating to the use of Vaxzevria (formerly AstraZeneca) and Janssen (Johnson & Johnson) by the Technical Scientific Committee of the National Health Institute of Valle d’Aosta announces the decision to suspend the administration of Vaxzevria and Janssen in subjects under 60 for the Open days scheduled for 12 and 13 June. Booked subjects will be inoculated with Pfizer and Moderna vaccines. The Open days are scheduled in Aosta and Donnas.
