Hyperloop Italia e Zaha Hadid Architects announced a new collaboration agreement to study the feasibility of the Hyperloop project for Italy. Initially conceived by Tesla CEO, Elon Musk, this train, through passive magnetic levitation technologies, able to reach i 1,200 km/h.
From Milan to Rome in less than thirty minutes thanks to Hyperloop
The magnetic levitation allow the train to travel inside dedicated low pressure tunnels that minimize friction, with the result that energy consumption will be much lower than in other modes of transport.
The project provides for the availability of magnetic levitation sections for trains in Italy starting in 2030, after having launched similar projects also for the United States and Saudi Arabia. The Hyperloop train will be able to carry both people and goods at speeds unthinkable until now. Indeed, such a train could complete the route from Milan to Rome in less than thirty minutes.
In this regard, Hyperloop Italia has already launched a feasibility study for the line from Milan Cadorna to Malpensa.
