United Airlines signs agreement for 15 aircraft

The rendering of United Airlines’ Boom Overture airliner prototype was released with the announcement that United has signed an agreement with Boom Supersonic, a Denver-based supersonic jet startup. The two companies will collaborate on the creation of 15 aircraft. The contract also includes an option for an additional 35 jets. So the supersonic jets whose era seemed to have faded in 2003 when Air France and British Airways retired the Concorde are back on track.
