“MOSTRUOSA” – Is called Rimac Fridge the series version of the electric hypercar of the Croatian house known as C_Two since it was presented at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. One of the car’s main features are the four electric motors (one for each wheel) which develop a total of 1,914 hp and 2,360 Nm of torque. The performance is insane: 0-100 km / h in 1.9 seconds, 0-300 km / h in 9.3 seconds and a top speed of 412 km / h.
SUPER RIGID FRAME – The electrical units of the Rimac Fridge they are powered by a 120 kWh battery with an H-shaped cooling system that is an integral part of the carbon fiber frame, which, according to the company, can boast of the greater torsional rigidity of the entire car industry , compared to a weight of only 200 kg. Weight distribution is 48% at the front and 52% at the rear.
THE PAIR OF EACH WHEEL – Performance is nothing without control and with poorly maintained aerodynamics. Regarding the first point, the house has taken steps to carry out for the Rimac Fridge an advanced Torque Vectoring 2, which analyzes the road conditions and calculates (over 100 times per second) the level of torque that each wheel can discharge to the ground, in order to guarantee delivery in accordance with driving conditions. The Rimac Nevera is also equipped with double wishbone suspension and electronically controlled shock absorbers.
BRAKES AND AERODYNAMICS – Electric cars can take advantage of regenerative braking, but in this case the powers involved are such that the Croatian company was forced to install a carbon ceramic braking system with 390 mm discs and six-piston calipers. “Physical” braking and regenerative braking work together to guarantee stopping distances worthy of a high-level hypercar. The manufacturer has also paid great attention to the aerodynamics of the Rimac Nevera, which is the result of several months of development in the wind tunnel and of the test sessions on the track. The car is equipped with an active aerodynamic system, such as the appendages on the rear diffuser and on the wing, which move in such a way as to guarantee the right downforce.
MINIMAL INTERIORS – The interior of the Rimac Fridge they have a very minimal setting, but the Croatian manufacturer has not renounced the elegance, which is found in the leather upholstery. There are three screens present: one for the instrumentation, the other for the multimedia system and the third for passenger entertainment. Being an exclusive car, customers can choose from a full range of bespoke finishes and materials. In addition to the premium individual customization program, the house will offer the Nevera in various editions, including GT, Signature and Timeless.
HIGH TECH – To allow even inexperienced pilots to make good use of the Nevara, the Rimac developed the Driver Coach. It is an AI-based system that evaluates performance and provides indications for optimizing and improving track performance. By accessing 12 ultrasonic sensors, 13 cameras, 6 radars and the NVIDIA Pegasus operating system, the Rimac Driving Coach adds an additional experience behind the wheel; by superimposing selected race circuits in real time, it offers precise audio and visual guidance, to allow drivers to perfect their performance on the track.
