Jake survived the beatings, the cruelty of those who, after making him suffer until he broke his jaw and part of his skull, decided to bury him still alive. But luckily for her, someone heard her moans coming from what should have been her grave. Removed the stones and the earth, whoever saved him was faced with a living being who had seen death in the face. Whoever rescued him was faced with a beautiful Border Collie whose owner had decided he didn’t deserve to continue living.

The dog was taken to a veterinary clinic, which examined the animal and found a dramatic situation: he had fractures of the skull and jaw, a damaged eye and they had to operate to remove several broken teeth and to save one eye.

This horrible story, which comes from Scotland, however, has a happy ending whose pages are written day after day. “It’s the worst case we’ve seen in our life” explain from the Scottish Society for the Prevention of Animal Cruelty (SSPCA), the organization that took care of Jake and confirmed that the animal has recovered from his injuries. . He was “on the verge of death” for two weeks and needed urgent veterinary care all the time.

One of the SSPCA agents who participated in the investigation of the events, Yvonne Sloss, admits that “this was one of the worst cases I have ever attended. When I first saw Jake, I was in shock, I felt deep sadness and I couldn’t believe that someone had deliberately done this to him. His head was very swollen, it was terrible. We didn’t think there was a way to do all this. But its owner has succeeded ».

Another agent, Mark Greener, adopted Jake to continue his recovery: “Jake needed specialist care and it took him some time to recover and really heal. It also took some time to trust me, but now that he does, we are united forever: we are always on the road and Jake loves to play. I couldn’t really imagine life without him now. I’m really grateful to the people who found Jake. Without them, that day would not have survived. ‘
