A moment of the set-up
- Wednesday 02 June 2021
The next weekend will be particularly colorful and flowery along the streets of the Upper Town: in fact, «Corsarola in Fiore» arrives, an artistic installation curated by Lucia Nusiner, Maurizio Vegini and Maurizio Quargnale, commissioned by the Community of the Bergamo Alta Botteghe, together to the Municipality of Bergamo and the Urban District of Commerce. The initiative, to which as many as 50 commercial activities in the Upper Town adhere – a record number -, includes an installation made up of rectangular floral elements positioned along via Gombito and via Colleoni at about 3 meters high: these spaces will be connected between them by a ribbon of cloth, with the idea of building a continuous path along the central streets of Bergamo Alta to accompany the walks of Bergamo people and visitors in the period from 5 to 7 June 2021.
“Il Salotto Fiorito” will be created in Piazza Mascheroni, an installation of particular rocking chairs positioned under a network of flowers. In Piazza Mercato delle Scarpe a floral composition will be created that will welcome the exit of the funicular, explaining – through a totem – the initiative. The merchants of the village who have joined the event, recognizable by a floral element, will foresee some commercial initiatives dedicated to the event. Restaurants, pubs and bars, for example, will also include dishes, cocktails and drinks dedicated to the floral theme; the shop windows will be embellished with floral elements that will frame the event.
It will also be possible to vote for the most beautiful showcase by placing “like” on the Facebook and Instagram social profiles of the Comunità delle Botteghe di Bergamo Alta.
