(ANSA) – WASHINGTON, 07 OCT – Elon Musk has announced that he will move Tesla’s headquarters to Austin, Texas, thus leaving Silicon Valley in California, where so far the headquarters have been in Palo Alto. The announcement came at the annual shareholders’ meeting.
For some time, since 2020, Musk had moved to Texas, harshly criticizing the management of the pandemic by the state of California accused of having implemented too severe anti-Covid restrictions. Restrictions that Tesla’s founder and number one had bluntly defined “fascist”.
In the Austin area, not far from the airport on the banks of the Colorado River, work is still underway for the construction of a new plant for the group that produces electric cars. However, it will not be a real farewell to California, where the current plant will remain in which production will also be increased.
