Alitalia is about to interrupt its service, replaced by Ita, which could also inherit the brand: the end of the historic Italian airline will be sanctioned on 14 October. But there are, among the employees, those who already know that they will not be among the workers of Ita and go ahead by saying goodbye: this is the case of a pilot and the cabin manager, who a few days ago they greeted the passengers before their last flight.
The video, shot by some passengers and then posted on Facebook, made the rounds of social media. “It is with some emotion that we tell you that it is our last Alitalia flight. After 40 years of honorable career, 10 years as a military pilot and 30 years in the service of Alitalia, today is unfortunately my last flight: for him instead it is 35 years of service, since 1986», The pilot’s words, visibly moved.
In his farewell to the passengers, a hint of bitterness: “We only ask you not to believe what they will try to make you believe. It would be like thinking that the largest steel mill in Europe, which is in Taranto, is on the edge of the abyss because the workers are billionaires. A quite imaginative theory, in my opinion – he concludes – However, since I am an elderly person with an easy tear, I greet you for the last time: good flight to all».
