AA then managed to be followed by another professional, but in the city there are hundreds of citizens who were forced to pay for services never received.

The case had been raised by the Adoc association of consumers, now the antitrust has proved the citizens right by sanctioning the company for 1 million euros for “conducts and omissions capable of providing a misleading representation of the services offered and depriving consumers of assistance after-sales, creating obstacles to the exercise of patients’ contractual rights “.

Federconsumatori gave the news, which had dealt with the case at national level, there were 57 Dentix offices. But a few days after the pronouncement came instead, from the XI Commission of the Senate, a rejection of the amendment that would have introduced greater protection for citizens for dental care. “A short-sighted choice – say Federconsumatori -, especially in light of the repeated bankruptcies of dental clinics, which from one day to the next closed their doors, leaving citizens without treatment and with debts”.

Among the financial companies that manage the loans of Dentix customers “only Cofidis remains in the sights of the Authority for the fulfillment of obligations – explains Federconsumatori -. What happened with Dentix, on the other hand, highlights how urgent it is for financial companies to make the procedures for the termination of the contract and the reimbursement of citizens more prompt and fluid than the amount paid and not due in the event of non-performance. Although we managed to reach agreements for the reimbursement of users, in fact, there were not a few critical issues and obstacles encountered ». And again: “We believe it is urgent and necessary to take a position on the part of the legislator”.
