The international congress center of Turin will be built in the area of the former Westinghouse, in via Paolo Borsellino, in the San Paolo district.
The announcement was made a little while ago, Sunday 5 September 2021, by the mayor Chiara Appendino.
“For the operators of the sector it will be a European reference point, given that the plenary hall will have a capacity of 5 thousand seats. We have finally managed to unblock a very intricate situation, which has remained bogged down for years but fundamental for the future of the city: yes it is, in fact, a private investment of over 50 million euros. Turin is increasingly attractive “.
And, as explained by Appendino herself, capital will arrive in Turin from Milan: “It is, in fact, Fiera Milano Congressi, a European leader in the sector and capable, in turn, of attracting the most important congresses in the world such as the world congress of dermatology attended by over 20 thousand delegates from all over the world. Turin finally faces congress tourism with an innovative and unique structure, and is doing so to become a leading city in the sector “.
The works will start next year and will end in 2024/25.
