Among the domestic chores of the house, cleaning the joints in the floors is one of those that require the most attention. There are many products to make the joints clean and free from encrustations. However, few know the foolproof method to thoroughly clean floor joints.
The most common remedies
If at home we have tiled floors such as stoneware ones, surely there is that distance between the tiles that puts many women on tilt. Over time the dirt builds up and worse becomes encrusted, making it difficult to clean them. You have to use some good system to get them back as good as new. Among the most used products are vinegar and bicarbonate, very effective cleaning agents in different situations.

However, there is also the possibility to prevent the joints from getting dirty. In fact, when you sweep the floor, some dirt is not removed and remains in the joints. When it is then wiped with the wash rag, the action of the thick cloth does not penetrate the joints.
These are lower than the tiles, so the cloth cleans them well but roughly the joints. Indeed, sometimes it is precisely the cloth wet with floor detergent that encrusts the joint even more. Thus the dust residues are pushed down by the rag and glued even more to the bottom of the joints. This is also thanks to the saponins of the powerful floor cleaner. The best thing, however, is to sweep the joints well with a good broom.
The right broom
To better collect the dirt from the joints, it is certainly better to use a suitable broom. The most used brooms at home have low bristles, a bit sparse and are a bit wide at the base. They are the most common brooms on the market and are good for smooth surfaces such as parquet.
On the other hand, for the joints a broom with high bristles, dense between them and narrow in the striking surface, would be more appropriate. In short, the classic outdoor broom but very thick and narrow. The action of this will certainly allow a more thorough cleaning of the joints.
Cleaning technique is also important. Instead of sweeping diagonally between the joints of the tiles, you have to follow the exact direction they have, first vertically and then horizontally.
In this way we will have clean and therefore easily washable joints.
