Shooting at Termini Station, Coisp): migrant will have free legal aid
Speech by the general secretary Domenico Pianese
Rome, June 22 (askanews) – “The opening of investigations against the agent who shot to stop the Ghanaian citizen who, armed with a knife, could have carried out a massacre near the Termini station in Rome is penalizing”. So affirms in a note Domenico Pianese, general secretary of the Coisp police union. “Now more than ever – he added – legislation is needed so that the State assumes the burdens of the defense of the agent who has only carried out his duty to protect the State, the same State that today entered him in the register of suspects . The policeman, therefore, against a salary of 1500 euros per month, will have to appoint his own defense, a biased expert and lawyer: these are expenses for thousands of euros that we at Coisp have offered to support, especially since the migrant , for his defense, he will have free legal aid from the state and, obviously, at the expense of the taxpayers ”, he continued.
