The rumors they want are more and more insistent imminent return of the Dead Space series. According to the rumors that have made their way in the last few hours, survival horror is now in the hands of EA Motive and will be back on the scene in a big way next month at an event organized by Electronic Arts.
The rumor was first launched by the usual Jeff Grubb, and was then corroborated by the editorial staff of Eurogamer.net which confirms that a new project related to the Dead Space series is currently in place. To add further fuel to the fire, here is also Gematsu: “A revival of Dead Space is in the works at EA Motive, which it is rumored to be a reimagination rather than a sequel to the existing trilogy“. In short, it would seem that Electronic Arts has opted for a sort of reboot of the saga, preferring to leave the triptych of games published in the past unchanged.
It is natural to ask, at this point, if the reimagination we are talking about will wink more at the first chapter, puramente survival horror, or if instead it will expand the more action-centric philosophy that has characterized the last two episodes, and in particular the final chapter of the saga.
As always, we invite you to take with the pliers what is reported, waiting for Electronic Arts to possibly reveal the new chapter of Dead Space, perhaps during the EA Play to be held on July 22nd.
