A cat named Bubblegum seemed to have everything against him when he arrived at the Alley Cat Rescue in Los Angeles along with his siblings. The cat was in fact very thin and had many health problems. «It weighed just 71 grams when we took it at 10 days of age. He was small and fragile, ”they said from the shelter. He was given food supplements to help him grow, and everyone took care of him.
Then about two months after his arrival in the shelter, his weight had increased slightly and even though he still couldn’t jump he started learning to climb. However, his development was two months behind his brothers, and when they had all found a new home, he still had a long way to go before he could be adopted.
Bubblegum was taken to the vet many times and finally one day the cause of his health problems was discovered: he has a congenital liver defect. “But with the right care and proper diet he began to get better,” they said from the facility. Where they add: «He is a very active and curious cat, he loves to play with boxes and find new spaces to sleep». He loves the company of other cats, and so at the shelter they started to let him meet other stray or abandoned cats saved like him to make him new friends.
The first was Atticus, who must be fed and cared for constantly. Then another cat named Sheffield arrived, and Bubblegum was delighted when he was able to befriend him too. Bubblegum acts like a big brother, introduces him to his favorite places, always play and sleep together. “The cat is also very sociable with the other felines in the shelter and has become the best friend of many rescued stray cats. He also gets along well with dogs, ”said the staff. Now Bubblegum is fine and is finally ready to find a home. «With the right care and diet he has turned into a beautiful, sweet and playful cat. We are sure that soon he will find a home forever ».
