Arezzo, 20 June 2021 – In the black year of relegation to Serie D and the farewell to the professionals, the Scuudetto arrives: the Spring Scudetto, the victory in the Italian championship. Arezzo wins with a test like lions: three times at a disadvantage with Cesena, three times to hang up the opponents and then overtake them on the wire on penalties, indeed at the last penalty.
The final was scheduled this morning at 10.30 with the Primavera 3 of Arezzo directed by Andrea Sussi on the synthetic of Bomporto, near Modena, after the great success in the derby against Perugia. The 4-1 trimmed in the semifinal to the Umbrians was worth the pass for this morning’s final, broadcast live on Teletruria.
Five years after Antonio Alessandria’s Berretti, Cavallino returns to play for the Italian title against Cesena who, for their part, reached the appointment after the 3-0 win against Cavese in the other semifinal. In Bomporto there were also the amaranth managers.
Together with them the coach Mariotti who was thus able to view some elements that could be useful to the first team because the Cavallino needs an unders, one for each of the years marked in the regulation (from 2000 to 2003).
An Arezzo forced to chase three times: twice he did it with Marras, who scored a good brace, and once with Tordella, who about halfway through the second half nailed the score to that 3-3 that brought the teams to overtime.
Then the penalty kicks roulette: Arezzo won 7.6, the decisive penalty was scored by Ferraro. Then the party, with the coach Andrea Sussi, who took over from Mario Palazzi during the championship, carried in triumph by his boys.
