On the net we continue to talk about Silent Hill, Abandoned, Konami, Hideo Kojima and Blue Box Games Studios … but what do all these things have in common? Let’s do a little review.
Announced a couple of months ago on the pages of the PlayStation Blog, Abandoned is a cinematic survival horror developed by Blue Box Game Studios and destined to arrive exclusively on PlayStation 5. A series of coincidences and statements by the developers have however fueled some speculations according to which Abandoned would be a new Silent Hill by Hideo Kojima: Blue Box has denied it, but others evidence has rekindled the debate.
As if that weren’t enough, yesterday Konami thought about throwing more fuel on the fire: through the official account of his shop, he announced the arrival of new merchandising items with a teaser that at a careful glance revealed clear references. to his horror series. Well, a few hours later the confirmation arrived in the form of another image that left no room for doubt (you can also look at it at the bottom of this news): the Konami Shop is actually going to selling new items related to Silent Hill. So far there doesn’t seem to be anything strange, but the Japanese house is doing everything to stir up its players. First of all, on his Instagram profile he accompanied the image in question with the caption: “Something big is coming”. In addition, it also highlighted a comment from a user who wrote “Abandoned is Silent Hill”. At the moment we write the message it is no longer in the pins on Instagram, but there is a screenshot that proves it. In addition, a screenshot of an alleged Twitter conversation between a user and the Konami Shop is also circulating, in which the store managers invite the player to stay tuned about a Silent Hill reboot. In all of this, even Geoff Keighley seems deeply interested in the matter….
Konami is evidently treading the wave of the new trend on Silent Hill born from the combinations with Abandoned. Meanwhile, a rumor has also begun to circulate on the net that Konami and Hideo Kojima have started to follow each other on Twitter again. From our verification it emerges that the publisher has always followed the game designer and that at the moment it is not reciprocated: Konami does not appear in the Following section of the two profiles of Hideo Kojima on Twitter, consequently we do not feel like giving credit to this last rumor. .
As the online debate continues, we look forward to something really concrete. The Abandoned gameplay reveal will take place on Tuesday 22nd June, so the truth is only a couple of days away … or at least we hope so!
