Part of the community of Cyberpunk 2077 is expressing some discontent with the patch 1.23 just released by CD Projekt Red. The reason? This is yet another update that fixes bugs, without adding anything to the game. Many are starting to wonder where the promised are Free DLC, since it has now been more than six months since its launch. Others complain that many features are still missing, which at this rate will come in years or never will.
For example Dread_Sovereign writes on the official game forum: “Six months of bugfixes and nothing substantial. […] My dream of playing something at least close to the original vision of the game … is gone. “
The same tones are present in many messages of the official Cyberpunk 2077 subreddit, all sorry for the umpteenth patch that adds nothing but only fixes problems. The YouTube channel Open World Games collected them in video in a virtuous way:
In fact, the Cyberpunk 2077 setup is taking a very long time, longer than anyone could have anticipated. Who was talking about at least one more year of development needed to launch a full game was not wrong.
Adding insult to injury is the fact that the game is currently being sold on sale on GOG. So who paid it to full price has really only been able to play some kind of Early Access version, with the final one being playable for a lower price. It doesn’t have to be nice to feel treated like a beta tester, plus without being rewarded for doing so.
