At E3 2021 Square Enix presented to the world Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin, new action role-playing game in development at Team Ninja. The publisher also released a PS5 demo which, after a couple of days of blocking, allowed players to put the gameplay of the game to the test. Now, however, new ones are emerging gameplay details that were not present in the trial version, dedicated to characters.
In an interview with Weekly Famitsu, then translated into English from the official site of Square Enix, it is explained that the two characters accompanying the protagonist can be customized. In the Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin demo this option was not present, but in the full game it will be possible to assign them equipment and “determine their growth”. Each ally has certain Jobs / Classes that suit them.
Allies will have restrictions on the type of equipment that he can use, is explained. It is also said that the number of equipment available is very high: for now, precise numbers have not been indicated. Jack should be able to use any type of equipment (related to the various Jobs / Classes). Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin will include broadswords, maces, spears (these three appeared in the demo), one-handed swords, axes, brass knuckles, daggers and katanas (the latter did not appear in the demo). The magic can be used by other classes in addition to the two appeared in the demos: we speak for example of the knight and the red wizard, who can use a one-handed sword also as a catalyst.
If you want to know what we think, here is our tried and tested Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin demo.
