He did not retract Saman Abbas’ 16-year-old brother. The Pakistani girl who disappeared from Novellara a month and a half ago, whose body is being sought in the countryside of the Bassa, was killed by her uncle for the young man because he had said no to an Islamic marriage at home.

No twist therefore. The boy would have confirmed in front of the investigating judge what had already been reported to the investigators previously: that is, that to kill his sister was his uncle Danish Hasnain, still a fugitive and is thought to be fleeing to Europe. The missing girl’s brother lives was entrusted to a protected facility due to the danger of retaliation. The hearing, this morning in front of the investigating judge, was aimed at crystallizing the statements of the minor considered a key and reliable witness by the Prosecutor’s Office.

The murder investigation sees the 18-year-old’s parents, her uncle and two cousins under investigation, one of whom was arrested and in prison in Reggio Emilia. Investigators hypothesize that the young woman was killed and then the body was buried in the countryside near the farm in Novellara (Reggio Emilia) where the relatives work.

Saman’s brother thus reiterates the accusations made against the investigators after being stopped, without documents, together with his uncle who, not being investigated at the time, had managed to get away. “All the necessary precautions have been taken by the judge to guarantee the minor serenity and avoid being intimidated by the environment which is not the best for a 16-year-old boy”, said the lawyer Simone Servillo who defends Saman’s parents. , answering reporters’ questions before the hearing begins.
