Green pass in Italy from today already available online. The diffusion of the digital document, the green Covid-19 certificate, which makes it easier to access events and facilities in our country and which will facilitate travel in Europe from 1 July, has been anticipated. “The free document, in digital and printable format, facilitates participation in public events in our country (such as fairs, concerts, sports competitions, parties on the occasion of religious or civil ceremonies), access to nursing homes and travel to entry and exit from territories possibly classified in the red zone or orange zone “, explains the Ministry of Health in a note.
“With the activation of the national platform created and managed by Sogei, starting from today – specifies the ministry – citizens will be able to start receiving notifications via email or text message with the notice that the certification is available and a code to download it on PC, tablet or smartphone. The sending of messages and the unlocking of activations will continue throughout the month of June, and will be fully operational from 28 June, in time for the activation of the European pass scheduled for 1 July “.
The certification, the result of the joint work of the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Economy and Finance and the Minister for Technological Innovation and Digital Transition, in collaboration with the commissioner for the Covid-19 emergency and with the support of Sogei technological partner, contains a QR Code that verifies its authenticity and validity. The document certifies one of the following conditions: vaccination against Covid-19, the negative result of an antigenic or molecular swab carried out in the last 48 hours or recovery from the infection. For the protection of personal data, the QR Code of the certification will only be shown to the personnel appointed by law for checks.
“The Covid-19 Green Certification can be viewed, downloaded and printed on various digital channels: on the dedicated website www.dgc.gov.it; on the website of the Regional Electronic Health Record www.fascicolosanitario.gov.it/fascicoli-regurali; on the ‘Immuni app and soon on the App IO “, adds the ministry.
In case of difficulty, or unavailability, in the use of digital tools, general practitioners, pediatricians of free choice and pharmacists who have access to the health card system will be involved. From 1 July, the green Covid-19 certification will be valid as an Eu digital Covid certificate and will make it easier to travel to and from all countries of the European Union and the Schengen area.
