This was announced by the hospital – university company explaining that” the patient of 54 years old is currently hospitalized in Resuscitation in a reserved prognosis“.” It is specified that the man arrived at the emergency room on June 12th already in drug therapy prescribed elsewhere, for peripheral venous thrombosis“, concludes the note.
According to ANSA, the man had been vaccinato May 26 with J&J, in the following days he fell ill and, in another hospital in Bari, he was prescribed drug therapy “for peripheral venous thrombosis”. However, conditions have worsened and on 12 June the 54-year-old was taken to the emergency room of the Polyclinic and hospitalized in intensive care. “It is specified – confirms the Policlinico di Bari – that the man arrived at the emergency room on 12 June already under drug therapy prescribed elsewhere, for peripheral venous thrombosis”.
Certainly in recent weeks the attention on possible adverse reactions, especially in the younger age groups, related to the vaccine AstraZeneca has grown. In particular, after the death in Genoa of an 18-year-old from Sestri Levante who had undergone vaccination with Anglo-Swedish serum during a Open Day. An episode following which the CTS recommended vaccination with AstraZeneca only for over 60s, giving indications to carry out the second dose with another mRna vaccine (Pifzer or Moderna).
