COUNCILOR THIRD: HERE WE NEED MASSIVE INTERVENTION TO REPLACE THE FLEET – “Today is an important day for the S8 – comments the commissioner Terzi – one of the busiest lines in Lombardy and for which a massive intervention was needed to replace the fleet. It was comforting to see the satisfaction of Lombard travelers with these state-of-the-art convoys. By the end of the week, 4 Caravaggio will come into operation on the S8, in addition to a fifth already in service. And by September all the rolling stock of the line will be renewed, retiring the old trains inherited from the central state. A significant result, which provides answers to users in terms of comfort, efficiency and capacity. Caravaggio’s debut on the Milan-Brescia-Verona line was also positive. I emphasize that the latest generation trains will be gradually allocated in all the provinces of Lombardy, compatibly with the technical times of construction and commissioning “.
ANTONIO ROSSI: REGION INTERVENES PUNCTUALLY DOCE IS NEEDED- “Once again – adds Antonio Rossi – the Lombardy Region confirms itself to be very attentive to the needs of the territories, intervening where there is most need and improving the travel experience of our commuters . The new trains therefore make the service on a nerve center line for the Lecco area more efficient ”.
S8 MILAN-CARNATE-LECCO – Starting from today on the S8 Milan-Carnate-Lecco four Caravaggio trains have entered service which, adding to a fifth already in circulation, will bring the total number of journeys made on the line with latest trains to 49 high-capacity generation. In the hours of ‘soft’ attendance, the trains will be unhooked and will circulate with a single composition of about 450 seats. Other deliveries are planned in the coming months and by September there will be the complete renewal of the rolling stock on this line.
CHARACTERISTICS OF THE CARAVAGGIO – The wide availability of seats offered by the new trains is accompanied by a comfortable travel environment – thanks to self-regulated air conditioning systems and LED lighting, electrical and USB sockets useful for charging mobile devices – and accessible.
