Navalny: “We won’t back down”
The Russian dissident commented on the decision of the Moscow court stating that “he will not back down”. “We will manage, we will evolve, we will adapt. But we will not back down from our goals and our ideas. This is our country and we have no others,” Navalny wrote on his Instagram account after the announcement of the decision.
London: “Bando organization is Kafkaesque and perverse”
British Foreign Minister Dominic Raab called the Russian court ruling “perverse” which outlawed the political organizations of opposition leader Aleksey Navalny. “It is another Kafkaesque attack on those who fight against corruption and open societies and it is a deliberate attempt to ban the real political opposition in Russia.”
Use: “Bando is disturbing” The US condemned the “particularly disturbing” decision of the Russian justice to designate the groups of Aleksey Navalny’s organization as “extremists” and called for the “immediate and unconditional” release of the opponent. “This decision puts employees, volunteers and sympathizers across Russia under threat of criminal prosecution and imprisonment for the exercise of basic human rights guaranteed by the Russian constitution,” denounced US diplomacy spokesman Ned Price.
