Two prizes for those who and how many have discussed a master’s degree thesis between 1 July and 31 August 2021 and whose theme addresses the issues of equal opportunities, the working well-being of the fight against discrimination but also the social and psychological impact and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic
The Unimore Single Guarantee Committee, an important academic body whose purpose is to promote a culture of equal opportunities and respect for the dignity of the person in the workplace, has announced a selection to award two degree prizes, amounting to 500 , 00 euros each, intended for master’s degree theses obtained by students of the University in the period between 1 July 2020 and 31 August 2021.
The purpose of the initiative, reads the press release issued by Unimore, is to raise awareness among students, enhancing the best degree theses focused on the issues of equal opportunities, work well-being and the fight against discrimination as well as on the social and psychological impact. and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic.
Specifically, the first prize “Equal opportunities, working well-being and combating discrimination” is intended for theses that have as their object: the proposal and evaluation of work-life balance interventions and projects; the enhancement of working well-being; the fight against and the prevention of discrimination of any kind; forms of support and help for disadvantaged groups in study and at work; actions to combat bullying, bullying, harassment and / or forms of violence in the workplace; the promotion of culture and good practices in the field of equal opportunities in various fields, including the introduction of gender variables in scientific or humanistic research; proposals for the adoption of a correct gender language, in society and in public institutions.
The second prize “Social, psychological and economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic” will instead focus on issues such as: the effects that amplify vulnerability and lack of equal opportunities in the social and work spheres; the economic impacts of the pandemic in Italy and on the territory; the effects on the student population; the psychological impacts on the population, psychological distress and work-related stress; the proposal and evaluation of interventions and projects aimed at countering the negative effects of the Covid-19 pandemic.
As stated by Prof. Claudia Canali, president of the Unimore Single Guarantee Committee: “These degree awards represent a small but concrete gesture through which the CUG wishes to express support and closeness to the students of our University at the end of a particularly difficult and painful year “.
