There are 320 new Coronavirus positives in Sicily in the last 24 hours out of 14,908 swabs processed and the positivity rate rises to 2.1% (yesterday it was 1.5%). This is what emerges from the bulletin of the Ministry of Health. Numbers slightly deteriorating in the last two days. Yesterday there were 337 new cases out of 22,004 swabs performed, with a positivity rate of 1.5%: data that had made the island the Italian region with the highest number of new infections. Today, however, Sicily is second in terms of new cases, behind only Lombardy with 322 new positives but with many more swabs: 43,271 swabs. Compared to last Wednesday + 41% of new cases. In the last 24 hours, in Sicily, two people have died, while hospitalizations have dropped by 6 (3 in intensive care). There were 702 healed in just one day.
There are currently 7,322 Covid positives in Sicily out of 365 hospitalized, 39 in intensive care, 6,918 in home isolation. The healed rose to 215,125 and deaths to 5,890. Since the beginning of the pandemic, 228,337 people have been infected in Sicily.
At the provincial level, there are 68 new cases in Palermo, 66 in Catania, 21 in Messina, 28 in Syracuse, 16 in Trapani, 34 in Ragusa, 21 in Agrigento, 8 in Caltanissetta, 58 in Enna. The incidence is 39 cases per 100 thousand inhabitants, yesterday it was 40.
Nationally, there are 2,199 Coronavirus test positives in the last 24 hours. Yesterday there were 1,896. Instead, there are 77 victims in one day, while yesterday there were 102. In total, 4,237,790 cases since the beginning of the epidemic, 126,767 deaths. The discharged and healed are instead 3,936,088, with an increase of 8,912 compared to yesterday, while the currently positive drop to 174,935, down by 6,791 in the last 24 hours. There are 218,738 molecular and antigenic swabs for the coronavirus carried out in the last 24 hours in Italy. Yesterday there were 220,917. The Covid positive rate is 1%, stable compared to 0.8% yesterday.
