Alitalia, autonomous unions will demonstrate in front of Montecitorio tomorrow
Cub, Acc, Navaid and Usb are asking the Government for confrontation
Rome, June 9 (askanews) – Tomorrow the autonomous unions will demonstrate in front of Montecitorio “to save the future of Alitalia”. Cub, Acc, Navaid and Usb are asking for a confrontation with the Government, also hoping for a commission of inquiry into the failure to restore the company.
“The jar is full – declares Antonio Amoroso, Cub national secretariat – we ask the government to desist from inflicting yet another sting on workers, taxpayers and the country. Archive the umpteenth Plan of misery that looms over the future of the Italian Flag Company which, as in the past, only serves to make room for competition, to lay off thousands of workers, and to offload social costs to taxpayers. We have said it and we repeat it Ita is a company without prospects. It is not an industrial project but the usual miserable recipe of a policy which, lacking in courage, is endorsing the impossible realization of a nano-company, bowing to the claims of the EU and the usual strong powers ”.
“We ask for an urgent meeting with the government, institutional representatives and parliamentarians – concludes Amoroso – to expose our well-founded reservations regarding the further downsizing of the Italian Flag Company and the consequent social and employment repercussions. Our mobilization continues. In addition to tomorrow’s initiative in Montecitorio, an air-airport transport strike and its related activities have already been called for next June 18 ”.
