Come back Maker Faire Rome 2021 – The European Edition, dall’8 to 10 October, with a new formula able to involve the general public both face to face and online. And candidature must be sent by 15 July. And if the 2020 edition, due to the pandemic, took place entirely digitally, between virtual stands and interactive projects, this year the desire to return to presence, to touch the most incredible innovations first hand, to meet many makers and visitors: this is why # MFR2021, thanks above all to the vaccination campaign that is advancing, also returns to the onsite mode allowing exhibitors (in compliance with safety protocols) to exhibit to the public their projects within a space, even physical, ready to welcome the best of creativity and innovation from all over the world. All Maker Faire Rome calls are already open.
Here they are in detail. There Call for Makers 2021, aimed at makers, teams, micro, small and medium-sized enterprises, startups, artisans, creatives from all over the world. By participating in the Call for Makers you will have the opportunity to submit your idea to the curators and the selected ones will be able to use, free of charge, a space – physical or digital – to exhibit their innovative project or be the protagonists of a talk or an intervention during Maker Faire. Then there is the Call for Schools 2021, which will give space to the creativity of young people – a true and fundamental wealth of our country – aiming at enhancing the constant commitment and dedication of all teachers who, on a daily basis, contribute to making the skills and qualities of all students shine through initiatives, innovative educational projects and programs. The Call for Schools, created in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, is reserved for national secondary schools belonging to European Union countries (students aged 14-18). A jury of experts will select the most interesting and innovative projects, born on the school desks, and the chosen Institutes will be able to participate and have a free physical or virtual exhibition space.
E in fine Call for Universities and Research Institutes 2021, because Maker Faire Rome has always turned the spotlight on excellence in technology and innovation, highlighting the projects of state universities and public research institutes. And also this year he wants to tell the work of universities and research centers by making, through this call, a selection of the best ideas that will be illustrated in a physical space, free of charge, within # MFR2021. Maker Faire Rome, he explains Lorenzo Tagliavanti, President of the Rome Chamber of Commerce, is back in attendance, with the participation of the public and I am particularly happy about this. Soon we will announce the location where we can finally find ourselves together, in the name of innovation and a sustainable future for all. For information (https://makerfairerome.eu/it).
