On the day when the curfew is moved to midnight (from 21 June it will be definitively abolished), the epidemiological situation in Italy continues to remain under control and constantly improve. The day of zero deaths is unfortunately still far away, but the average has now settled at a high level of one hundred and this is already good news. The bulletin today, Monday 7 June, issued by the Ministry of Health gives an account of 1,273 infected, 5,024 recovered and 65 dead on 84,567 swabs, with the positivity rate found at 1.5 percent.
Obviously, like every Monday, the data are affected by the very low number of tests analyzed. As for the national health system, the pressure continues to drop: today the balance of admitted to Covid wards is -53 (4,910 beds currently occupied), while that of the hospitalized in intensive care is -15 (759) against 25 new entries. The currently positive ones have fallen to 188,453, while the deceased have reached 126,588. In the meantime, the vaccination companion continues at full speed, reaching 38,178,684 doses administered in total.
In addition, the extraordinary commissioner for the Covid emergency, Francesco Paolo Figliuolo, he presented himself to the Budget Committee, where he took stock of the situation: “The goal is to be able to carry out 550 thousand administrations a day, to date we have reached over 600 thousand a day in some days. The vaccination points are over 2,661. The goal is to vaccinate 80 percent of Italians by September, an audience that also includes the population group ranging from 12 to 15 years, therefore over 54 million people “.
