Apple just unveiled to the world watchOS 8, the future operating system dedicated to Apple Watch. Here are all the news!
The new update for Apple Watch has been unveiled on the WWDC 2021 stage and brings with it a series of interesting news dedicated to fitness and communication.
First, one is added measurement dedicated to the breath during sleep monitoring in order to provide the user with more details on his physical condition (respiratory rate). And again speaking of breath, the application is improved Mindfulness (in Italian Breathing).
Apple Watches with watchOS 8 will then be able to monitor two new sports – Pilates e Tai Chi – and will allow users to easily manage workouts with filters in the Fitness + app, where available. There will be integrations with Apple Music “workout” playlists made by famous artists.
Also available are the features seen on iOS 15 such as support for keys and identity documents (in the USA) and profiles dedicated to the function Focus for notifications.
Among the most substantial innovations we point out the support for a new generation of photo dials. In fact, by modernizing the current watchface dedicated to photos, watchOS 8 allows you to fully customize the dials with the images chosen by the user and a series of information and levels for date and time.
Finally, comes the ability to use the Apple Watch to find objects, as is already the case on the iPhone via the Where’s app. The latest refinements speak of the presence of the app Contacts, always-on support for multiple applications, and functionality Scribble to edit and correct audio dictated to Apple Watch for message replies.
