Crowd and stadium choirs in the night, viral video on the web
CAGLIARI. A sudden downpour on the nightlife, Saturday night in Cagliari. And dozens of young people, most of them without masks, flock to the sheltered space in front of the covered walkway of the Bastion of Saint-Remy, in the heart of the historic center.
Over a hundred people concentrated in a few square meters, start hopping and choirs and the videos end up immediately on social networks, becoming viral. “I drink, I drink: I get drunk and I am happy even if Covid has it”, the boys sing. A scene shot by many mobile phones.
Just in recent days, the mayor of Cagliari Paolo Truzzu had met in the Prefecture with the leaders of the local law enforcement agencies to ask for more checks, especially on weekends, precisely to avoid possible gatherings and risks of contagion from Covid now that the curfew has been abolished.
On Saturday night the rain precipitated the situation.
Even those who were escaping from the downpour found in front of the Bastione walk the escape route invaded by the crowded mass: it is impossible to overcome that human wall to take the stairs that lead to Piazza Costituzione. (HANDLE).
