That it has now become a symbol of the Resistance is a fact. Now, however, the matter must be made official. This was supported by the parliamentarians of the Democratic Party, Movimento 5 Stelle, Italia viva and Leu, who filed a bill in the Chamber asking that “Hello beautiful is considered an anthem of the Resistance and is therefore performed every 25 April, after the anthem of Mameli, in all official ceremonies for the Liberation Day. “The bill was signed, among others by Walter Verini, Emanele Fiano, Fassino and Laura Boldrini, as well as Alberto Manca dei 5 Stelle, Nicola Stumpo of LeU and the Renzians Michele Anzaldi and Massimo Ungaro.
The deputies’ document consists of a single article, divided into two paragraphs. In practice, we read, “ we intend to finally recognize the evident institutional character of a hymn, Hello beautiful, which is a popular expression – lived and still constantly evolving with respect to different historical moments – of the highest values at the basis of the birth of the Republic ”. Specifically, ‘Specifically, therefore, paragraph 1 of article 1 provides for the recognition by the Republic of the song as a “popular expression of the founding values of its birth and development”. Paragraph 2 also establishes that Hello beautiful be performed, after the national anthem, on the occasion of the official ceremonies for the celebrations of April 25, the anniversary of the Liberation from Nazi-Fascism ”.

Carla Cantone, Cenni, Ciagà, Ciampi, De Menech, Frailis, Incerti, La Marca, Lattanzio, Gavino, Manca, Miceli, Morassut, Mura, Pagani. The dem Ubaldo Pagano, Pellicani, Pezzopane, Pizzetti, Prestipino, Rossi Stumpo and Zardini also joined.
