Italy has nothing to envy to the rest of the world when it comes to beautiful tourist destinations – especially if we are talking about beautiful seaside resorts. In this period, it is small Covid-free islands to attract the attention of travelers from all corners of the globe.
On the wave of the initiative experimented in the first instance by Greece, which has allowed its islands to become more touristy safe destinations regarding Covid, also our country has adopted a similar project. In recent weeks, in preparation for the summer, many Italian islands have transformed into paradisi Covid-free thanks to a mass vaccination campaign that affected their inhabitants and all workers (permanent or seasonal) who can thus return to welcome tourists in complete safety.
It is therefore not surprising that Italy is among the favorite destinations for foreigners for this hot season that is almost upon us: but which are the most popular places? Sicily is undoubtedly one of the favorite regions for tourists arriving from across the border: splendid beaches and delightful small villages, a perfect climate and many flavors to taste are attractions that make it every year crowded destination by vacationers. And in recent months, its commitment to make its smaller islands Covid-free has paid off.
The Aeolian Islands they are among the best destinations for those who want to start traveling safely again: following a massive vaccination campaign, almost all of the population residing on the archipelago is now immunized (at least as regards the first dose). Incomparable beauties such as the black beaches of Stromboli and Vulcano, so suggestive due to the presence of volcanic residues, or the uncontaminated nature of the small islands of Alicudi and Filicudi they will thus be able to return to attract tourists from all over the world.
Also Linosa has devised a plan to vaccinate all its residents over the age of 18. The island, which due to its small size and distance from the mainland has only minimally suffered the consequences of the pandemic, is now ready for the summer season. Likewise the splendid Ustica, with its enchanting coves and wild nature, it boasts a completely immunized population.
Among the Covid-free destinations most appreciated by foreigners we must then list the splendid islands of Campania: starting from Procida, the first Italian company to have vaccinated all its inhabitants, up to Ischia and to the suggestive Capri, which features one of the most beautiful (and famous) views in the world. Its Faraglioni, giants of rock that emerge from the crystal clear waters, are a breathtaking attraction that this year will bring many tourists to the small island.
