The brother of is still upset Keira ladlow, the girl from Birmingham who was mauled by the last February cane that he had given her. He feels a “terrible sense of guilt”, as he told the investigators, who are now investigating to understand how his sister was killed. The 21-year-old girl was in fact found in the living room in a pool of blood, face down, while Gucci, the bull terrier who kept her company, was in a corner. Birmingham coroner, Rebecca Ollivere, said Ms. Ladlow died for multiple injuries caused by dog bites.
The pathology – Keira Ladlow suffered from a unstable emotional personality disorder and the doctors had prescribed antidepressants for her. This is indicated in a written statement by Dr. Syed Faisal Haq that he was treating the young woman. She lived with her brother, who had given her the dog, called Gucci, for pet therapy.
The investigation – The night before she died, young Ladlow told her brother she had a feeling the Gucci dog would bite her. But Barrett ignored what he said, thinking his sister hadn’t taken the meds. He left for work on February 5 with his dog sleeping on the bed with his sister, but when he returned, around 2pm, he saw his lifeless sister on the floor of the house. West Midlands Police Officer Sam Ahmed said neighbors reported hearing a dog barking and a woman running up the stairs between 10:00 and 11:00. According to medical examiner Ollivere “no one will ever know what caused the tragic change” in the events of that day.
