Charles Leclerc took the pole position of the 2021 Azerbaijan GP, sixth stage of the 2021 F1 World Championship which takes place on the Baku street circuit. The Ferrari driver has invented a real number on a very demanding track, characterized by winding sections and many walls, but also by an extremely fast last sector. The young man from the Principality will thus shoot at the pole in the race scheduled for tomorrow: it is the second consecutive pole position brought home by the rider of the Red team, although two weeks ago he failed to show up on the starting grid in Montecarlo due to an accident.

The Scuderia di Maranello is clearly growing and tomorrow the Monegasque will pursue a new magic, snapping alongside Lewis Hamilton. The seven-time World Champion has recovered after a disappointing free practice and has succeeded to get the better of Max Verstappen. The World Championship leader had to settle for third place behind the wheel of the Red Bull, he will start from the second row flanked by Pierre Gasly’s surprising AlphaTauri. Carlos Sainz with the other Ferrari is fifth next to Lando Norris’ McLaren. Then to follow the second Red Bull of Sergio Perez, only tenth the other Mercedes of Valtteri Bottas. Antonio Giovinazzi will close the starting grid with Alfa Romeo.

Below are the results of the qualifying and the starting grid of the Azerbaijan GP 2021, sixth stage of the F1 World Championship which takes place on the Baku circuit. The race will start tomorrow (Sunday 6 June) at 14.00 Italian time (in Azerbaijan they are two hours ahead of us).
