In Barcelona Quartararo confirms himself as the fastest and wins the first box. The Ducatis were also very fast with Miller close to pole and crashing and with Zarco closing the front row. Morbidelli is 5th, while Rossi is in 11th place after a fall

In the premier class Quartararo is still the fastest: 1’38 ”853. Fifth pole position for him. This time, however, the Frenchman had to sweat because many riders lowered the time at the end of the session. Miller, who crashed after closing the lap, made the second box his own with a delay of only 37 thousandths. Front row also for Zarco, hampered in the last lap launched.

All very close

The second row is opened by Oliveira’s KTM, while Morbidelli was fast throughout the session and had to settle for 5th place. Sixth position for Maverick Viñales, followed by Aleix Espargaro’s Aprilia and Brad Binder. Little incisive Bagnaia, 9th ahead of Mir. Valentino Rossi is unable to finish a good lap, also due to the crash without consequences at the end of the session.

Marc Marquez Out of the game

The Spaniard number 93 fails to pass in Q2: despite being towed by Jack Miller during the session, the Honda champion was mocked by his teammate. For just 11 thousandths, Pol Espargaro at the end of the Miller-Marquez duo moved on to the next session. Marc will then start from the 13th square, in front of a fast Nakagami. Martin did well too, 15th, while Lecuona crashed during a fast lap after an excellent session. Second crash for him after the crash in FP4. Followed by Bastianini, Petrucci, Marini, Alex Marquez and Savadori.
