10.45 – Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) and Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) confirmed their excellent shape in the three free practice sessions of the Catalan GP. The Italian trailed the French by just 46 thousandths. Always competitive also Miguel Oliveira (KTM), third at 0 ″ 122. Bagnaia (Ducati), Aleix Espargarò (Aprilia), Binder (KTM), Zarco (Ducati Pramac, with yesterday’s weather), Vinales (Yamaha), Mir (Suzuki) and the revived Valentino Rossi ( Yamaha Petronas).
Important names in Q1: there will be Jack Miller (Ducati), – 11th and excluded by Rossi by just 69 thousandths – and Marc Marquez (Honda), fifteenth at 7 tenths from the top. No Honda in the top 10.

10.40 – Checkered flag for PL3 – Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) closes in the lead in 1’38.929, ahead of Quartararo (Yamaha) and Oliveira (KTM). Shot of the kidneys of Rossi (Yamaha Petronas) in 1’39.426, who gains access in Q2, ninth.

10.39 – One minute to go – Oliveira (KTM) is second just 76 thousandths behind Quartararo (Yamaha). He snatches a place in the ten Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Petronas), ninth in 1’39.736.

10.37 – Franco Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) in 1’39.254 overtook Mir and is second.

10.36 – Joan Mir (Suzuki) is second in 1’39.324. Spanish looks solid in the top 10. Fall for Lorenzo Savadori (Aprilia) in Curve 4.

10.35 – Five minutes to go – Marc Marquez (Honda) is currently eleventh, nine tenths behind the leader Quartararo (Yamaha). Soft tires flap at the rear.

10.32 – Maverick Vinales (Yamaha) climbs up, now second in 1’39.352.

10.31 – Valentino Rossi (Yamaha Petronas) is now ninth in 1’39.844, the Italian rider in the combined standings is 11th just 81 thousandths from entering the top 10.

10.25 – A quarter of an hour to the end – Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) goes down again in 1’38.975. The transalpine placed 4 tenths between himself and Miguel Oliveira (KTM).

10.24 – Fabio Quartararo (Yamaha) is now the leader: 1’39.168. The Frenchman’s time – on SS tires – is the new limit of the weekend.

10.23 – Takaaki Nakagami (Honda LCR) was undermined in second position in 1’39.498.

10.08 – Progress for Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) in 1’39.566. The Italian centaur remains in second position. The time limit on Friday was 1: 39.2 for Zarco (Ducati Pramac).

10.05 – Oliveira (KTM) remains the leader, with three tenths ahead of Vinales (Yamaha) and four over Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas) and Bagnaia (Ducati).

10.02 – Continue in the lead Miguel Oliveira (KTM) in 1’39.448, points Binder (KTM), Vinales (Yamaha), Morbidelli (Yamaha Petronas).

10.00 – First chronometric references on the time monitor: in front is Oliveira (KTM) in 1’39.677, in front of Bagnaia (Ducati) and Rossi (Yamaha Petronas). Fall for Enea Bastianini (Ducati Esponsorama) in Curve 5.

09.55 – Green light for PL3 – Forty-five minutes at the disposal of MotoGP riders to get the pass for Q2. The top ten will qualify directly for the second qualifying segment, the last eleven will compete in Q1, with the two passes for Q2.

09.45 – The weather holds up, the sky intersperses clouds and sun. The possibility of rain seems to have been averted for Saturday in Barcelona.

09.40 – The PL3 of the Moto3 class has just ended, with Stefano Nepa in front of everyone, who preceded Gabriel Rodrigo and Tatsuki Suzuki. Seventeenth the leader of the world championship Pedro Acosta, who will start from Q1.
