The Kyoto house has spilled the beans: the Nintendo Direct E3 2021 will be held on June 15 at 18:00, as usual the company will carve out a space on the last day of the fair to announce the news coming to Switch. But what exactly will we see?
Nintendo has confirmed that Direct will be focused only on games and there will be no space for hardware announcements (hence the rumor that Nintendo Switch PRO would like announced before E3), the show will last 40 minutesi during which they will be shown mainly “games coming to Nintendo Switch in 2021“But that’s not to say that there can’t be any surprises with announcements or the presence of titles coming next year. After the Direct, the usual three-hour Nintendo Treehouse live will be held with gameplay, interviews and insights.
What exactly will we see during Nintendo’s Direct E3? In the absence of confirmations we can hypothesize the appearance of Mario Golf Super Rush in the finishing straight on June 25, also likely the presence of Pokémon Shining Diamond and Pokémon Shining Pearl (out in November) and maybe Arceus Pokemon Legends (scheduled for January 2022). The presence of SMT V is almost certain (the release date of Shin Megami Tensei 5 has been leaked recently) For some time there has also been rumors of a possible announcement of Mario Kart 9, a title that could debut in time for Christmas.
Even the new Metroid 2D for Nintendo Switch could be in the game while the re-reveal of Metroid Prime 4 seems to be decidedly unlikely. There are also projects that have long since disappeared from the radar such as Bayonetta 3 and ovviamente The Legend of Zelda Breath of the Wild 2, the hope is that both can return to show themselves on this occasion, maybe even with just a trailer.
There is also talk of the possible return of Donkey Kong on the Nintendo Switch but it is not clear what state this project is currently in and if it really exists, perhaps it is therefore too early to expect it. And finally, who knows that Nintendo cannot take advantage of this Direct for officially unveil Pikmin 4.
We just have to wait for the start of the broadcasts of the E3 2021 conferences to find out what are the news coming to Nintendo, in mid-June we will have a clearer picture of the situation related to the software and we hope also to the hardware with the anticipated reveal of Nintendo Switch PRO.
