In the last 24 hours, 1,968 new cases of Coronavirus and 59 new deaths have been recorded in Italy. Yesterday there were 2,897 new positives and 62 victims throughout Italy. This is what emerges from the bulletin issued by the Ministry of Health for today, Thursday 3 June. The tests carried out in the last 24 hours, between molecular and antigenic, were 97,633. The percentage of positives, considering the total swabs, is 5.52% against 1.3% yesterday.
The currently positive cases are 205,562 while the people recovered from Covid are 3,893,259 (+6,392). Since the beginning of the pandemic, 4,225,163 people have tested positive for Coronavirus, including healed and deceased. The region with the highest number of cases compared to yesterday is Lombardy.

Swabs and positivity rate
In total, the swabs carried out in Italy today between antigenic and molecular tests were 97,633. The positivity rate, on the other hand, stood at 5.2%.
Hospitalization and intensive care
Patients admitted to hospital wards are decreasing: there are 141 fewer admissions to medical departments (in total there are 5,717 patients). On the other hand, 892 patients are registered in intensive care (24 new admissions against 33 certified on 2 June).

According to the latest update of the report of the anti-Covid vaccination campaign in Italy, 35,817,595 vaccine doses have been administered in our country so far.
