The main indicators on the progress of the epidemic in Sardinia, which passed in the white zone since Monday, are still improving. The percentage of seniors over 80 with a complete cycle is 76.1%, to which an additional 10.9% must be added only with the first dose. The percentage of the population 70-79 years with a complete cycle is 25.3% to which an additional 53.8% must be added only with the first dose; while the percentage of the population 60-69 years with a complete cycle is 18.5%, to which an additional 48.1% must be added only with the first dose.
IN ITALY – On a national level, the number of weekly tests for Sars-Cov-2 also collapsed, stable until the first ten days of May: in the last few weeks the figure decreased from 662,549 to 439,467 swabs performed, with a very strong decrease, at -33.7%.
In the same period, an average of 120 people per day per 100,000 inhabitants were tested with a molecular or antigenic swab, with clear regional differences: from 199 in Lazio to 49 in Puglia. “Unfortunately – explains Lino Cartabellotta, president of Gimbe – the criteria for conquering and maintaining the white zone have been introduced
with the Law Decree of May 18, 2021, they discourage the Regions to strengthen testing activities and to resume tracing, just when the numbers of the infection would allow the use of a weapon that has never been properly used “.

While those in intensive care fell from 3,743 to 989, equal to -73.6%.
