New stop for the blue midfielder: he will be evaluated in the next few hours and skips tomorrow’s friendly
There is no peace even in the national team for Stefano Sensi: the midfielder accused a muscle strain in the adductors in the last training session in preparation for tomorrow’s friendly against the Czech Republic. The Inter player will therefore miss the last test before the start of Euro 2020, the injury will be evaluated in the next few hours to understand the extent and timing recovery.
Mancini, at the press conference, had announced the presence of Sensi in the starting line-up and now obviously he will have to review his choices. With Verratti still unavailable for a few weeks, in midfield remain Cristante, Jorginho, Locatelli and Pellegrini. On the other hand, the player’s condition, fresh from a troubled season to say the least, was already kept under control by the Azzurri doctors, hence the choice to keep in retreat also Pessina as the “twenty-seventh” player in the case of substitutions in the final list for Europeans.
With Inter this year Sensi, between muscle injuries and Conte’s choices, he only played 21 games between Serie A, Coppa Italia and Champions League for a total playing time of 635 minutes.
