The extraordinary Commissioner for the Covid19 emergency Francesco Paolo Figliuolo had anticipated: “June will be the month of the turning point”. Announcement confirmed at least in Sardinia, where about four hundred thousand vaccines are expected this month: 100 thousand a week between Pfizer and Moderna.
Of the first serum, according to the data of the Regional Health Department, 10,530 doses have been delivered today and by the next 10 June another 86 thousand will arrive, followed by 9,700 of Moderna on the 14th (but the dates are purely indicative). Stocks of Janssen single-dose serum and AstraZeneca will also arrive on the island but for less significant quantities.
Meanwhile, Ats, in the hub of the Cagliari Fair alone, has organized an “Astranight” for this evening, an appointment dedicated to school staff who have already received the first dose of Vaxzevria: 1330 teachers are called with a text message to the vaccination center from 19 to 24 to anticipate the recall initially set between 10 and 11 June and which coincides with the start of the ballots.
Tomorrow, Friday 4 June, the number of vaccinable subjects on the island will expand again with the inclusion of citizens in the 16-39 age group: starting from 12, through the Poste Italiane platform, they will be enabled to administration of doses in the 93 vaccination centers of the regional territory. However, the first slots available could be postponed by a few days to allow the over 40s to be disposed of, and the first administrations for this range could be made no earlier than 10 June.
