TRENTO. The unions are asking for a single agreement for all Poli companies, the adjustment of the performance bonus and certainties on part-time volunteers. Today the union representatives of the Poli together with Filcams, Fisascat and Uiltucs made a garrison in front of the group headquarters to ask for the renewal of the supplementary contract.
“For ten years – explain the unions – the 900 employees of the Poli supermarkets have not seen the economic conditions of the company contract adequate. Although the company in recent years has consolidated its market shares, created new points of sale in the province, increased its roots in the territory and increased its turnover, the supplementary agreement, as regards the part of the reward, has remained blocked. Yet the group’s success is also due to the commitment of the male and female workers ”.
And again: “Up to now, the multiple attempts by the unions to open discussions and reach a shared understanding have been useless. The owners have always refused to meet the union delegations, leaving the negotiations to their consultants, even at the end of a very difficult year that saw workers on the front line despite the pandemic ”.
“A commitment that has not received adequate recognition from the group and that instead should have pushed the Poli Group to listen more to workers – denounced Paola Bassetti, Fabio Bertolissi and Stefano Picchetti of Filcams, Fisascat and Uiltucs together with RSA -. For this company, trade union relations are a burden to be avoided in every way. Inconceivable”.
It is also for this reason that the representatives of the three trade unions together with the members of the RSA met this morning in front of the group’s headquarters, in an attempt not only symbolic to hand over their contractual platform to the CEO. The negotiations for the renewal failed in December last year in the face of the absolute unwillingness of the Poli to present to the trade unions a clear picture of the situation of the company and the claims to renew a photocopy contract for the next three years.
The trade unions, on the other hand, ask for the economic and regulatory part of the agreement to be updated. Among the requests, the adaptation of the criteria that define the performance bonus which are now obsolete. “The group has always proved unable to undertake a straightforward discussion on the merits and, without providing any explanation, in recent months has stopped the negotiations on the subject even before it began”.
Another thorny issue is that of part time. The company renews them from year to year, while the unions aim for permanent agreements for the workers who request it. In this way, part-time employees always feel at the mercy of corporate decisions without being able to safely manage their private life, family and children while remaining available to the company hoping for a renewal.
Among other requests, that of a better programming of the hourly variations of openings and closings, the revision of the surcharge for working holidays and Sundays. “We believe that a solid and profitable group like Poli cannot continue to ignore the requests that come from their workers. Male and female workers who are also architects of good company performance “.
