Michele Morrone has now become an international star, conquering millions of fans who, by now, follow him in droves on Instagram and who in the last few hours have wondered if the last shot published by the actor was not the prelude to a coming out, with which to declare his homosexuality. The 365 Days star clarified the matter through stories, denying the rumors about it.
The shot with Simone Susinna
The photo that made the fans suspect is the one that sees him hugged to Simone Susinna, with whom he is sharing the set of the Netflix movie, confirmed for two other sequels. Next to the shot, Morrone writes in English “I am a liar” and, immediately, the comments of those who had read in this statement a possible reference to his sentimental situation arrived. Informed of the movement that came to be created on social media, the actor clarified the issue through some stories saying: “This morning I woke up with my team calling me and saying, ‘Hey, there are a lot of articles where they say you came out, “because of the picture I took with Simone”. Then, after smiling at the insinuation, he added:
He became a very good friend of mine, we are like brothers. Let’s make a movie together. Guys, it was just a photo. Nothing more. And anyway… I’m a big supporter of the LGBT community. But we are just talking about a normal image. It wasn’t a coming out.
The ambiguous phrase
What had aroused the most suspicion, in addition to the shot in which the two were embraced, was the accompanying sentence: “I’m a liar”. Morrone then explained to his fans why he wrote such an ambiguous sentence and apologized for creating confusion: An actor is a kind of liar. That’s why I wrote it. Acting… someone you are not. It wasn’t a coming out. So, I’m so sorry for the confusion. As I said, I am a big supporter of the LGBT community. There are a lot of young boys and girls… they would like to come out but they don’t because of their families. You know, happiness is priceless, guys.
